Thank you for those that came out and watched our boys play last week.  Thank you also for attending the Thanksgiving practice.  Our boys beat Conroe 29-28 on a wet Saturday afternoon and earned a playoff spot.  Our opponent will be determined by a game played this Friday between Dekaney and Eisenhower.  

We will either play Dekaney (Spring) or (Houston Aldine)Nimitz. No day, time, or location for this yet.  Tickets will be electronic, and the link will be shared asap.   

With us making the playoffs, I will keep this week open and use it to prepare for the playoff game.  With this, the subvarsity season is over.  If your child wishes to play another sport that has began like basketball or soccer, they are allowed to go to that sport and begin practicing.  Freshman basketball will only practice 8th period, and nothing after school until football is over.  (Basketball is short coaches until football is over)

We will take all that want to suit up for the playoff game, that is in good standing with our program. If they want to suit up for the playoff game, they must attend every practice after school for JV Kids, and everything during the school day for Freshman kids.  Freshman kids will not be required to attend after school practices, but some will be asked to do so.  If Freshman kids want to stay after school for practice, they are absolutely welcome to do so.    If they begin to miss practice, they will not be allowed to suit up.  If they play another sport, they can attend those practices and still be allowed to suit up for the playoff game.  

Good standing means:

1.  Academically eligible

2. Attends every practice or has an acceptable reason for missing

3. No problems in the school building  (ISS/ detentions etc)

If your son is  a JV or Freshman player, we still strongly encourage them to be a part of every practice as they can use this time to get better at being a football player.  There will be many days when they will lift and run, but many days when they will be in the pads practicing.  

If Freshman do not choose to stay after school, they will be finished at 3:05 and can ride the bus home.  

Schedule for the week:

Monday –  
Freshman will Study Hall/Lift Run.  No practice after school.  Released at the end of the day 3:05
Varsity lift/run during athletic period.  Video after school of the game.  NO FRESHMAN OR JV Practice after school  

Varsity released 4:30

Tuesday -  
Freshman Study hall –Lift- Practice after school (voluntary)  Finished 5:30
JV /Varsity Special teams/ weights during period  Practice after school  Finished 5:30
  
Wednesday 
Freshman Study hall –Practice during the period - Practice after school (voluntary)  Finished 5:30
JV /Varsity Study Hall/ Special teams/ and JV weights during period  Practice after school  Finished 5:30

Thursday 
Freshman Study hall –Lift- practice after school (voluntary)  Finished 5:30
JV /Varsity Special Teams/All Weights during period   Practice after school at Yates Finished 5:30
 

Friday
Freshman Study hall –Practice during the period.
JV Varsity  Video/Weights during period  Nothing after school  3:05 end of the day.  
Nothing on Saturday  Treatments if needed.
